Mother checking her phone for ZPass+ update.

Please check your bus route information before applying for a ZPass or paying any transportation fees to ensure your address has bus service. You can find this information here.

The Douglas County School District Transportation Department is excited to announce a new innovation in student bus safety.  We are committed to the safety of our students, which is why we are pleased to offer this new technology.  ZPass+ gives parents the ability to better track their child's activities when it comes to riding the bus.

ZPass+ gives parents the reassurance that their student has made it to and from school safely by sending a message every time their child swipes in or out of the bus. The service is being offered to all participants of the regular ZPass program at no additional cost.

How does it work?

  1. Rider scans card while entering and exiting the bus*

  2. We record the data, time and location of the bus

  3. ZPass+ sends real-time text or email updates to parent.

It is really that simple. Watch below!

* Scan activity alerts will only be sent if a successful scan is made.  If your child does not have the ZPass card, forgets to scan for any reason, or the reader fails to record an attempted scan, no alert will be sent.
