2014-2015 PARCC Scores

NRE Students Obtain Top Scores on the State Assessment!

The results of the state assessments of English Language Arts (ELA) and Math were released and, once again, Northridge students obtained some of the highest scores in the state. As can be seen on this document, the average scores for NRE students were significantly above average for the nation, state and district.  In fact, we ranked 1st, 2nd or 3rd in Math and ELA when compared to other elementary schools in the district.  While the results of any assessment should not be interpreted in isolation, these scores align with the other indicators that our teachers are providing students with a solid, well rounded education.

Well done to NRE’s students and teachers.

When it comes to mental health services, communities traditionally focus on supporting kids as needs arise. This work is crucial for the safety of our students. Equally important, though, is prevention-based programming that can help, early on, prevent the social-emotional challenges our kids may be experiencing from escalating.
