Payne Family Scholarship Application
The goal is to award two $500 scholarships to eDCSD Seniors who demonstrate academic merit, outstanding character, and financial need.
The primary purpose of these scholarships is to assist students who might not otherwise be able to continue their education. Financial need, academic merit, and outstanding character are key criteria used in selecting the scholarship recipients. These scholarships are for one year only (non-renewable) and may be used for any college or vocational program.

Two references - one must be from a teacher, counselor, or administrator at school. The other can be from an employer, a community service organization, a youth group leader, etc...
Financial Need: The need for financial assistance is a major factor of consideration. A parent (or guardian) must sign in the space designated. Your application will not be considered if information for this section is missing or incomplete.

- Are a resident of and attend high school in Colorado
- Will graduate from high school in the spring of 2017
- Will attend an accredited four-year college or university in the fall of 2017
- Are able to attend the Failure Fair on April 28–29, 2017
Goodwill Industries of Denver’s Youth Career Development Services is hosting a Mock Scholarship Interview Event to provide major scholarship applicants with the opportunity to polish their interview skills and gain valuable feedback from a panel of professionals. Attendees will also have an opportunity to ask questions and get advice, meet other like-minded students, hear about alternate scholarship options, and learn tips to make a good impression. A light dinner will be provided.
Attached are specific instructions for students to register for the event (registration is REQUIRED and space is limited) in a flyer that you may distribute to students and post in your school.

STEM scholarship program for students interested in STEM fields (Biology, Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, and Physics). STEM Scholars will have their full demonstrated financial need met for all four years with no loans, and have the opportunity to:
- Attend a STEM-focused pre-orientation workshop with other STEM Scholars.
- Enroll in an exclusive First-Year Seminar taught by STEM faculty.
- Participate in bi-monthly luncheons with STEM faculty and a variety of learning activities on and off campus.
- Take advantage of various STEM offerings, including faculty-student research, peer-mentoring, preferential residence in Gettysburg College's Science House, and internship opportunities with industrial partners.
