Applications for the RBC Wealth Management Colorado Scholarship are now available. This is a highly selective scholarship opportunity for exceptional Colorado students planning to pursue a college degree in science, mathematics, or engineering.
Five $3,000 scholarships will be awarded in 2017. Students will be selected based on academic excellence, leadership ability, community engagement, and a strong aptitude for science, math, or engineering. We typically receive up to 100 applications for this competitive opportunity so please ensure you meet the eligibility criteria before applying. Please see The Denver Foundation's website for further information and eligibility requirements.

RMRC sponsors an annual scholarship program for current high school seniors who have relocated into the Denver and surrounding areas during grades 9 through 12. RMRC would like to encourage your eligible students to apply. The onetime award of $1,000 will be presented to one (1) well-deserving senior. The award will be sent to the college (2-year or 4-year) or university that the scholarship winner will be attending in 2017 to assist with tuition and other applicable expenses. RMRC will select the scholarship winner based on the strength of the total application package. See Mrs. Bliek for more info! 

 

CFGD Fill the Gap Scholarship

The College Fairs of Greater Denver (CFGD) is pleased to offer our “Fill the Gap” scholarship.  This scholarship is intended to help deserving students fill the gap between what your financial aid covers and what you still owe the institution of your choice.  Funding varies and is contingent upon revenue generated from the CFGD college fair circuit.  

In addition to the completed scholarship application form below, please send the following items to be considered for the scholarship:

  • Essay response to:

    • Tell us how much money you need to “fill the gap”, why you need it and what you have done so far to help pay for college.  

  • Letter of support from your high school counselor.  

This is a one-time, non-renewable scholarship award which may be used at any regionally accredited community college, college or university of the student’s choice (in or out of state).  Completed applications (including supplemental materials) are due by March 15, 2017. The Denver Foundation is pleased to annouce that the 2017 application for the Colorado Press Association Scholarship for College Students is available.
 
Students who meet all of the following criteria are encouraged to apply:
- Will graduate from a Colorado high school in the spring of 2017
 
- Have held at least one leadership position (e.g. editor, president, treasurer, etc.) in a student media organization like the high school newspaper, yearbook, or media club during their senior year. 
 
- Will attend an accredited four-year college or university in Colorado in the fall of 2017.

Payne Family Scholarship Application

 

General Guidelines

 

The goal is to award two $500 scholarships to eDCSD Seniors who demonstrate academic merit, outstanding character, and financial need.

 

The primary purpose of these scholarships is to assist students who might not otherwise be able to continue their education.  Financial need, academic merit, and outstanding character are key criteria used in selecting the scholarship recipients. These scholarships are for one year only (non-renewable) and may be used for any college or vocational program.

Financial Need:  The need for financial assistance is a major factor of consideration.  A parent  (or guardian) must sign in the space designated.  Your application will not be considered if information for this section is missing or incomplete.

The Museum of Contemporary Art Denver (MCA Denver) Failure Award Scholarship provides scholarships to deserving Colorado high school seniors who have embraced the spirit of creative risk-taking and innovation. Finalists will be presenting their projects to the public at the MCA Denver on Friday, April 28th and Saturday, April 29th, 2017. 
Eligibility
Students who meet ALL of the following criteria are eligible to apply:
  • Are a resident of and attend high school in Colorado
  • Will graduate from high school in the spring of 2017
  • Will attend an accredited four-year college or university in the fall of 2017
  • Are able to attend the Failure Fair on April 28–29, 2017
Note: Projects of all types will be considered, including, but not limited to visual arts, performing arts, fashion, technology, design, and others.

Since then, this effort has continued as a meaningful expression of the sheriffs’ confidence in and respect for education and training. CSOC considers this an investment in the future and believes that our membership is helping to provide deserving students with an opportunity to make a positive contribution to society as a whole.

County Sheriffs of Colorado, through its honorary membership program, awards approximately thirty $500 scholarships every academic school year.

Goodwill Industries of Denver’s Youth Career Development Services is hosting a Mock Scholarship Interview Event to provide major scholarship applicants with the opportunity to polish their interview skills and gain valuable feedback from a panel of professionals. Attendees will also have an opportunity to ask questions and get advice, meet other like-minded students, hear about alternate scholarship options, and learn tips to make a good impression. A light dinner will be provided.

STEM SCHOLARSHIP

STEM scholarship program for students interested in STEM fields (Biology, Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, and Physics). STEM Scholars will have their full demonstrated financial need met for all four years with no loans, and have the opportunity to:

  • Attend a STEM-focused pre-orientation workshop with other STEM Scholars.
  • Enroll in an exclusive First-Year Seminar taught by STEM faculty.
  • Participate in bi-monthly luncheons with STEM faculty and a variety of learning activities on and off campus.
  • Take advantage of various STEM offerings, including faculty-student research, peer-mentoring, preferential residence in Gettysburg College's Science House, and internship opportunities with industrial partners.

Our deadline for Regular Decision admission (using the Common Application) is January 15, and students should file both the CSS Financial Aid Profile and FAFSA by January 15.
