Littleton Elks announce scholarship opportunities

Most Valuable Student Scholarship

The Most Valuable Student Scholarship is sponsored by our local Elks lodge and the national Elks organization.  This scholarship is judged by the local lodge and the highest scoring applications are then sent on to district competition and possibly on to national judging. Scholorship awards are available at each of these levels. The National award is $50,000 each for a male and female student. Follow this link for application information. This year the deadline for the applications to be returned is December 5, 2014.

This endowment is sponsored by the local Elks lodge. Download the application (in Word format) here. Return the completed application no later than January 23, 2015.

Littleton Elks #1650 Vocational Scholarship

The Vocational Scholarship is sponsored by the local Elks lodge and is designed for students who are looking for a career in a vocational field. Download the application (in Word format) here. Applications for this scholarship are accepted year-round.

The Douglas County School District Board of Education welcomes Dr. Thomas S. Tucker into the role of Superintendent of Douglas County School District. Dr. Tucker officially leads the 68,000 student district as of July 1, 2018.


Nearly 1,500 Colorado students applied for the prestigious Boettcher Foundation Scholarship this year, with 42 being named recipients. Of those, the Douglas County School District (DCSD) is proudly home to four recipients.


When it comes to mental health services, communities traditionally focus on supporting kids as needs arise. This work is crucial for the safety of our students. Equally important, though, is prevention-based programming that can help, early on, prevent the social-emotional challenges our kids may be experiencing from escalating.
