Douglas County Fair in Castle Rock

The Student Wellness Department was part of the Douglas County Fair held at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Castle Rock on August 7th-9th.  The Student Wellness table had information from several of the departments that encompass wellness in their work such as Sustainability, Healthy Schools, and Team U.P.  Many DCSD students, family members, and those in the community stopped by with questions and support for the efforts surrounding these groups.   Employees from these departments manned the table to assist with questions, offer support, and make community partnerships.  It was a great community event for everyone who was part of it.

Equally important, though, is prevention-based programming that can help, early on, prevent the social-emotional challenges our kids may be experiencing from escalating.
